Self-Guided Walking – What Does It Involve?

It means what it says, that you walk on your own, at your own pace, and stopping where you want to take pictures, admire the scenery or enjoy your picnic lunch. But we will meet you at the beginning of your tour to talk to you, make sure that you have got everything you need, and answer any questions you may have. You will receive from us map sections with the recommended route highlighted, and a comprehensive route description. If you are not familiar with the style of maps used we can arrange a briefing session with our representative at the beginning of your tour; this is at no cost, but needs to be arranged in advance. Or you could consider hiring a personal guide for your first day or half day, just to get you started. Rates are from £195 per day, £125 per half day.

Your luggage goes separately from one night’s accommodation to the next, and is normally waiting for you when you arrive at journey’s end.
