Availability

In 2021 the point to point tours can be booked to participants’ choice of start dates from Sunday 11th April (i.e. the first complete week after Easter) to Sunday 10th October. Early tours before Easter may be possible, but not over the Easter weekend itself. Dates involving UK Bank Holidays are normally excluded, because most hotels require bookings for a minimum of 3 nights over these weekends, but the Heart of Lakeland tour can often be arranged with the first 3 nights in either Windermere or Coniston, so that the 3 night requirement is met – please contact us for further information. Bookings of Just Walk may well be possible provided the same condition is met.  The Cross Lakes Ramble is not possible over Bank Holiday weekends, because of the 3 or 4 single night bookings that it requires.

If participants’ first choice of dates is not available, we will, if you request it, suggest alternative dates as near as possible to the first choice.

Just Walk can be booked at any time of year, because no changes of base are required, and thus it is possible to opt not to venture on to the fells on a day of bad weather. Over Bank Holiday weekends the minimum length of booking is 3 nights, and accommodation would have to be reserved well in advance.

By arrangement it would be possible to pre-book certain sets of dates well in advance so as to enable a tour organiser to form groups. The minimum possible group size would be 6, and maximum 18. The maximum number assumes that the majority of participants will share double or twin rooms, and it might be necessary to split the group between two (or more) accommodation providers.
